ABOUT THE INDEXES

The IHS/CERA Power Capital Costs Index (PCCI) Leveraging CERA's Index + Scenarios methodology, the PCCI tracks and forecasts the costs associated with the construction of a portfolio of 30 different power generation plants in North America. The PCCI is a work product of the Capital Costs Analysis Forum for Power (CCAF-P), a research project managed by CERA. For further information on the PCCI or the CCAF-P research forum, please contact Candida Scott (cscott@cera.com).

The IHS/CERA Upstream Capital Costs Index (UCCI) developed and managed by Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), an IHS company, the UCCI tracks the cost associated with constructing a portfolio of 28 upstream oil and gas projects in a globally diverse portfolio.
It is similar to the consumer price index (CPI) in that it provides an easy to understand tool for tracking and forecasting a complex and dynamic environment. The UCCI leverages the proprietary cost database and cost modeling tools of the IHS QUE$TOR™ suite of software and is a work product of the Capital Costs Analysis Forum for Upstream (CCAF-U), a research project managed by CERA. For further information on the UCCI, QUE$TOR, or the CCAF-U research forum please contact Pritesh Patel.

The IHS/CERA Downstream Capital Costs Index (DCCI)
Similar to the Upstream Capital Cost Index in methodology, the DCCI focuses exclusively on the costs needed to construct a portfolio of 30 different refinery and petrochemical plants around the world. The DCCI is a work product of the Capital Costs Analysis Forum for Downstream (CCAF-D), a research project managed by CERA. For further information on the DCCI or the CCAF-D research forum, please contact Jackie Forrest.
